San Jose de Buenavista Mayor Rony L. Molina shared the town's best practice on administrative governance during the Development Talk (DevTalk) organized by Department of Interior and Local Governance (DILG) VI held at the Central Philippine University, Iloilo City.
San Jose de Buenavista is a Best Performing Municipality for 1st-3rd Class Municipality Category in the DILG's Excellence in Governance (EXCELL) Award on Administrative Governance since 2010 and recently received the Seal of Good Housekeeping.
According to Mayor Molina, having a roadmap, leadership and people's participation were the key ingredients in San Jose's successful administrative governance.
DevTalk was a showcase of the the gains of DILGs advocacy for transparency and accountability in local governance.
This year's theme is “Strengthening the Journey of Biyaheng Pinoy: Tapat na Palakad, Bayang Maunlad."
The DevTalk was part of the celebration of the 21years of the Local Government Code organized by the DILG in partnership with Gesellschaft für Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the Canadian Urban Institute (CUI).
With the DevTalk were the Regional Land Use Forum, awarding ceremony for the Regional Winners of the Gawad Pamana ng Lahi and the launching of the Western Visayas Local Governance Resource Consortium (WVLGRC).
